The Georgia Tech Angel Network is a community of alumni angels and investors who seek to invest in GT-affiliated companies. We seek to back GT's brightest students, faculty, and alumni, as they pursue groundbreaking ideas.
We believe in the power of Georgia Tech’s community. Our angels, all whom are GT alumni or affiliated with the GT ecosystem, range from unicorn founders to Fortune 100 CEOs to renowned VC partners. This group has come together to support the next generation of Yellow Jacket talent building startups.
The Georgia Tech Angel Network is entirely student run, guided by a board of alumni from across our investor community as well as key groups within Georgia Tech.
We exist for three reasons:
To support the Yellow Jacket founder community with funding & mentorship from the most successful alumni we have
To connect the Georgia Tech alumni community, especially those who have successfully built, led, exited, and invested in renowned private & public companies
To redefine how angel networks can be run in the modern day taking into account the challenges some founders face in accessing capital

Meet our team
We’ll find 30 minutes in the week after you submitted to learn more about your startup, ask clarifying questions about your deck, & understand the problem you are solving.
Connect with angels
The memo is then sent around our angel investors who have 7 days to take a look and register their interest. Founders are then connected 1-1 with angels.

Our student associates will assemble a short but comprehensive investment memo that summarizes your company, product, success to date, and the wider market.
What does it mean to be “student run”?
Our student team consists of 6-8 students from across Georgia Tech’s campus, including undergraduates, masters, & PhDs. The student team have been carefully selected and work to fill the following functions:

Support operational functions
Our student team, on a weekly basis, source & meet companies, draft scoping documents for angels, and support non-investing roles to maintain the wider operations of the group.

What is the mission of GT Angel Network?
Georgia Tech Angel Network is a community of alumni angels and investors who seek to invest in GT-affiliated companies. We seek to back GT's groundbreaking students, faculty, and alumni, and grow our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Do you charge a fee or take an equity stake?
No, we only support connections between angels and startups. We operate as a 100% pro-bono organization looking to support Georgia Tech’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
How can I get involved beyond seeking investment?
We work with a number of others parties including advisors, venture capitalists & large corporations interested in a stronger tie to the Georgia Tech ecosystem, and more. Feel free to drop us a note on LinkedIn & we’ll respond with the best course of action.
Who are eligible for investment?
At least one of the company’s co-founders must be a Georgia Tech alum, faculty/staff member, or current student. We typically help support early-stage ventures (pre-seed, seed, Series A).
What kind of success have you had so far?
We have sourced over 100 potential deals, and helped connect over $6.5M USD in capital from our angels. We have also helped startups with connections for potential clients, advisors & more.

No, GT Angel Network is sector-agnostic. We work with companies from all sectors.
